Project Director (latviski)

FICIL is a non-governmental institution with a mission to improve Latvian business environment maintaining a dialogue with the Latvian Government.

FICIL project director is responsible for managing, organising, and carrying out the project and work group activities of FICIL, ensuring efficient and effective administration of the organisation.

Your duties:

  • Management of the agenda:
  • Initiate and lead suggestions on how to address issues and challenges faced by foreign investors through FICIL work groups, projects, and other relevant fora;
  • Coordinate and contribute to the development of FICIL’s position on various topics relating to business environment and investment climate. Ensure day-to-day management and administration of FICIL work groups and projects;
  • Independently follow changes in law and in government policies that are relevant for the FICIL activities and inform about them Executive Director, Board, Work Groups, and Membership as necessary.
  • Support the Executive Director, the Executive Board, FICIL Work Groups, and Membership (analytical work, drafting documents, including correspondence, reports, newsletters, presentations, memos, and emails);
  • Organise efficient communication with membership and wider public (manage and oversee social media accounts, webpage content);
  • Event planning and management, effective administration of the organisation.

 

 Our requirements:

  • University degree, preferably in Law, Economics, Business Administration, or Finance;
  • Excellent knowledge of the legal framework in Latvia;
  • Experience with business and commercial life in Latvia and/or abroad;
  • Understanding of the global economic trends;
  • Experience in organising high level international events will be considered as an advantage;
  • Public relations experience will be considered as an advantage;
  • A well-developed professional and social network will be considered as an advantage.

 

Key competences:

  • Fluency in Latvian and English; Russian and any other language skills will be considered as an advantage;
  • Excellent analytical and writing skills, computer literacy;
  • Good communication, presentation, argumentation/negotiation skills;
  • Good sense of responsibility;
  • Capacity to work independently;
  • Capacity to multitask;
  • Strong project management skills.
