For the sixth consecutive year, FICIL will present the foreign investors’ assessment of the business environment in Latvia, taking a closer look at developments regarding tax system, labour force productivity and skills, Covid-19 impact, digitalisation and green economy development as well as other key topics of concern. Dr Arnis Sauka will give a brief overview of the main results from FICIL Sentiment Index 2020 research. Journalist Jānis Domburs will moderate a discussion among coalition party politicians, public sector officials and foreign investors.

The discussion will focus on investors evaluation of politicians work during the pandemic as well as will outline future concerns regarding economic recovery process. During conversations with the investors, topics such as human resource development, digital transformation efforts and green economy advancement issues were mentioned frequently, therefor the discussion will also cover these topics.
