Renewable energy development company Eolus Vind has joined the Foreign investors Council in Latvia.

“Eolus has been active in Latvia for many years, and right now has several large projects in the pipeline for the near future that will increase investments made in Latvia. Renewable energy is the future, it is very important to diversify energy supply, reduce air pollution and align actions with environmental goals. As members of FICIL, we will focus on energy and green economy development topics, as well as investment protection issues” Inga Āboliņa, Head of Baltics.

Eolus is one of the leading developers of renewable energy in the Nordics and are active in the whole value chain from development of green field projects to construction and operation of renewable projects. When Eolus was founded back in 1990, few others saw the electricity-generating potential of wind and Eolus immediately took on the role as a wind power pioneer. Eolus offer attractive and competitive investments in the Nordic and Baltic countries, Poland and the United States. Eolus has constructed approximately 700 wind turbines with a total capacity of 1,500 MW. FICIL is a non-governmental organisation, which unites large foreign-owned companies from different industries, foreign trade chambers and Stockholm School of Economics in Riga.
