Tatjana Guzņajeva assumed the position of the FICIL’s Executive Director on January 29, 2024. T. Guzņajeva brings broad experience acquired whilst working as a senior consultant at the international public policy consultancy – Technopolis Group (the Netherlands). Her work there focused on policy design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation in the areas of education, employment, entrepreneurship, and innovation. She has been advising to the regional, national, European and international public bodies, including the European Commission, UNESCO, World Bank, Japan Science and Technology Agency, and many others.  

Prior to Technopolis Group, Tatjana worked at the UN Agency – International Labour Organisation, Middlesex University London and at the British Red Cross. Tatjana Guzņajeva holds a bachelor’s degree in international politics from the Middlesex University London and a master’s degree in public policy and human development from the United Nations University and Maastricht University. 

Tatjana’s professional background makes her a great fit to lead FICIL and carry out FICIL’s mission of fostering an open dialogue with the government of Latvia to implement necessary changes in FICIL’s priority areas – digital and efficient public administration, labour availability and skills, rule of law and fair public procurement process, and energy security.

FICIL is a non-governmental organisation, which unites large foreign-owned companies from different industries, foreign trade chambers and Stockholm School of Economics in Riga. FICIL’s mission is to use the experience and knowledge of its members to provide recommendations for public sector to improve Latvia’s business environment and competitiveness in attracting foreign investment.
