We are excited to announce great news! To foster deeper synergies on FICIL priority areas and to boost our expertise and capacity, we have decided to merge our Public Sector Reform and Data & Digital Transformation work groups! This step is expected to enhance collaboration between the work groups leaders, put a stronger emphasis on integration of digital innovations in the public sector, provide more insights to the work group members and drive our ambitions forward.

This, by no means, implies a change in our priority or focus areas. On the contrary, a joint leadership and stronger collaboration between the work groups is expected to strengthen our efforts in driving modernisation of the public sector and digital agenda in Latvia. As previously, the Public Sector Reform work group will be led by Reinis Āzis (Head of Business Development at VTTI), while Renārs Rūsis (Chief Digital & Customer Experience Officer at BALTA) will serve as a co-leader of this group, taking charge of the Data & Digital Transformation topics.

Renārs brings a wealth of expertise and enthusiasm to his new role within FICIL, although this is not his first time leading one of our work groups! Renārs has built an excellent reputation as a dedicated professional and we are happy to welcome him back to our ranks! In essence, Renārs Rūsis will replace Edvīns Elferts, a former Data & Digital Transformation work group leader, who has recently transitioned from KPMG to build an AI & Automation development company! FICIL extends heartfelt gratitude to Edvīns for his invaluable contributions to FICIL, brave and novel ideas, great sense of humour and a personal touch in everything he does. We wish Edvīns great success in his new adventure and look forward to other collaboration opportunities!
